Welcome to Team Team Grandpa's Girls / Marching for Mag’s Page!
Team Grandpa’s Girls / Marching for Mag is walking again in honor of two of the most incredible people: Tom Spierto and Peggy Mink.
Tom Spierto was a World War II Hero, a friend to everyone he met (or that heard his melodious voice and cackle), and a dedicated father and grandfather. He found his paradise on Kinderhook Lake, and Hospice gave the gift of being in that place with the people he loved and those that cherished him all along his journey. We have nothing but sincere gratitude for Hospice Services, especially Elizabeth. The work that you do is for the whole family and it matters the most when we needed it and beyond.
Peggy Mink was born to make people smile and laugh and she did that with every opportunity that she had. She was the most loyal and supportive sister, friend, cousin, and aunt. We had no idea that she would become our guardian angel so soon. Hospice services as St. Peters cared for her with the gentle kindness that she showed all of her family and friends.
We have seen the immeasurable impact of Hospice on others as well and want to pay this forward. This year has brought forth challenges that no one could have possibly imagined. We have always though of healthcare workers as superheros, but now more than ever, a light shines on their work. This may not be a year to donate financially, but please give thanks to the nurses and medical professionals in your life. We appreciate any support you can give Hospice programs.
On June 13th, we will be walking along the trail of Gramps’ "Paradise on Earth."
Julianne Montross (Mink), Danielle Mink, and Anne Marie Mink (Spierto).
